Mithril Hills 15+ year celbration

Mithril Hills is celebrating 15+ years with a camp-out

When: April 23rd - 25th
Where: Beacon Rock State Park
Cost: $5 for the weekend, $0 for day trip

We have a very exciting weekend planned to help celebrate the existence of Amtgard in Longview since 1993.

Jugging:
Yup, Mithril Hills loves to Jugg and so we'll be doing this on Saturday starting at 1.

Town Scenario:
There will still be other planned fighting and ditching, but for those interested we'll be having an ongoing scenario. This means random monster attacks and mini-quests. We'll have a currency there so that people can buy enchants or other fun stuff. Hayu will be heading this up and I'll leave it to him to post further details.

Other Games:
There will also be other games worked into the town scenario.

Grill:
There will be a grill running all weekend in the covered shelter. There will be cold beverages (Gatorade, soda, etc.), hot food (burgers, hot dogs, etc.), and some pre-packaged foods (chips, candy, etc.). All people who are preparing/serving the hot food will have food handlers cards.

Merchants:
There has been much talk in the merchant forum. There will be merchants at this camp-out.

Monte Carlo (all ages):
At night time we'll be opening up the structure for some gaming fun. There will be some prizes that can be won, through good ole' card playing. Everyone who comes will get some chips.
Also, we'll have some midevil/fantasy style games available for people to play as well (Agricola, Talisman)

Tablero (21+):
We'll be having a Tablero competition as well. Highly suggested that people be prepared to BYOB. There will be some provided but not nearly enough for everyone. This will be at the covered shelter. To make sure that people playing are of age, we will card and you must be 21+ to enter the roped off area while this is going on.

We are less then a week away from the 15 (actually 17) year celebration of the Duchy of Mithril Hills. Come help us celebrate!

Where: Beacon Rock State Park
Driving Directions
Located 35 miles east of Vancouver, Wash. in Skamania County.

From Seattle:
Take I-5 south to Vancouver. Just north of Vancouver, take I-205 south. Follow I-205 south to the Hwy. 14 exit (last exit before crossing the Columbia River into Oregon). Follow Hwy. 14 east. Beacon Rock and the park entrance are located at mile post 35.

From Portland:
Take I-84 eastbound along the Columbia River to Cascade Locks. At Cascade Locks, cross the Columbia River into Washington on the Bridge of the Gods toll bridge. Turn left onto Hwy. 14. Follow Hwy. 14 west for seven miles to Beacon Rock.

When: April 23rd - 25th
The site officially opens at 3PM, I'm asking that no one show up prior to this time

Cost:
Camp: $8
Daytrip: $2

This event will be a combination of multiple different things.

We will have an ongoing "town scenario" for quests and roleplay. This has been created by and run by Hayu. There will be more information to come on this.

There will be a dedicated ditching field, for those uninterested in the town scenario or who want to break from RP to ditch a bit.

We'll have an open jugging field for pickup games.

All fighting has to end at dusk (due to park rules) - so lit ditching is canceled.

At night we have a monte carlo parlor. You can gamble at a chance to win prizes and have fun. We'll also have a variety of card games and board games in the indoor parlor to play. Come RP, game, and enjoy the night life.

If you are 21+, you can come to the tavern. It will be the outdoor seating area. It'll have beer pong and tablero.

We will also be running a grill all weekend long. Those at the grill are food handler certified. For a low price you can get some hot food, cold drink, or snacks (while supplies last).

There will also be merchants there from what I've seen on the boards.

edited to add: Are there Vendors selling Kittens? Cuz that would be OK. We can have our own private Kitten Jugg...er....Levetation. I see no ditching after dark, so after dark we will break out the Kittens. kk? All got it?
